It’s no longer rumors, it seems that Microsoft will be exempt from the higher end of the Xbox 360 than the current Pro SKU offers. Xbox 360 dashboard’s Inside the Xbox area is a page with a statement that says:

Microsoft is to give consumers more gigabytes of their responsibility! Available in August, an updated Xbox 360 includes a 60 gigabyte hard drive, which stores growing wealth of digital entertainment available on the Xbox Live Marketplace, one-stop digital download center. Now you have even more room for music, movies, television programs, demos, Arcade games, and game content.

This seems kind of announcement Microsoft would be made at E3, I guess, that was inadvertantly sent to time. Combine that shops selling Pro-system $ 299.99 begins this week, and it appears that the wind is actually exported to Microsoft’s E3 sails.
